you are not eligible to receive facial services if you are experiencing a fever, cough, runny nose, or sore throat, etc. new covid requirements include signing a health screening form. please give appropriate notice if you are feeling unwell before your appointment. if you show up to your appointment visibly sick, you will be asked to leave and the full cancellation policy will be applied.
you are not eligible to receive facial services if you are experiencing a cold sore outbreak. please allow adequate notice to reschedule your appointment. once your cold sore heals, you are more than welcome to come in for a treatment. please keep in mind some treatments like chemical peels and collagen induction therapy (microneedling) can induce a cold sore to those prone. an antiviral medication can be prescribed by your doctor as a preventative measure if she/he sees fit.
you are not eligible to receive facial services if you are prescribed an isotretinoin (accutane) medication, or have taken this medication within 6 months
aestheticians are not medical professionals, therefore cannot diagnose or treat any disease or lesions (including but not limited to eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, ulcers, or open wounds of any kind)
please list all medical history and health conditions clearly & accurately on your consultation forms.
Before Your Facial
refrain from using topical creams and prescriptions like tretinoin, adapalene, steroids, antibiotics, etc. for 2 weeks
avoid direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks
refrain from using highly active products with ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, etc for 3-5 days
do not scrub or exfoliate your face in any way for 3-5 days
to make the most out of your appointment time, i suggest to arrive with no makeup if possible. I am more than happy to remove your makeup for you, but keep in mind this takes up time during your service.
For microneedling, please refrain from consuming blood thinners for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
(This is including but not limited to caffeine of any kind (coffee, tea, energy drinks), OTC pain medications, aspirin, anti inflammatory medications, and supplements such as Vitamin E, ginko bilboa, and green tea capsules)
After Your Facial
refrain from wearing makeup for 24 hours
refrain from exercising/sweating for 24 hours
refrain from using topical prescription creams
avoid direct sunlight
DON’T use highly active products with ingredients like retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, or scrubs etc for 2-3 days
DO use gentle and highly moisturizing products, or specific aftercare protocol recommended to you after your treatment.
DO apply sunscreen liberally throughout the day every day for at least 1 week after your treatment (preferably, you wear sunscreen every day, forever!)
For microneedling, your aftercare products will be provided. after 24 hours you can move to the recommended gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. You can generally return to your regular routine about 5-7 days post microneedling. Do not exfoliate or scrub the skin for at least 3-5 days after microneedling.
